As described in the
XDR documentation , when a record is shipped, the Last Ship Time (LST) for that record's partition is updated to the current time. However, if no records are being shipped due to a lack of eligible writes, what happens to the LST?
Answer
Every time the
DC thread runs through the queue for the partition and finds no records, it updates the LST to the current time, so the LST stays current.
